The Branch Committee has agreed a timetable for elections for Convenors (senior shop stewards) for the Council’s four Directorates.
Any two members in the relevant Directorate may nominate any current shop steward to stand as Convenor for Adult and Community Services (ACS), Children and Young Person’s Services (CYPS), Finance and Resources (together with the Office of the Chief Executive) (F&R&OCE) and Housing, Regeneration and Environment (HRE).
The deadline for nominations is noon on Friday 22 October and the nomination form is available online here.
In the event that there are contested elections the ballot period will run from 8 to 29 November. Watch this space for further information.
